5 month summary

so it is about time for an update. here is a bit of what has happened in 5 months, sorry for the non-chronological order, i lack the patience to learn advanced blogging

sadie's dance recitle (may 16) - she did such a good job. she says "everyone was being all crazy and not watching michell (her teacher), but i looked at michell the whole time mom"

lunch time (may 14) - sadie and her buddies, adam + spencer (twins) enjoying a fine meal in the cheteau de cole with luke + sam tagging along

joined facebook (early march), something i would not recommend unless you plan on waisting hours of you life. fortunatley once all you highschool friends add you, you quickly have nothing to say and you are back to weekly to bi-weely visits. (no photo)

broke my record of # hours worked in 4 day period (may 4 through 7, 64 hrs): 36 hrs mon&tue, 18 hrs. wed, and a modest 10 hrs on thr. we left thur. evening for las vegas to see daren graduate from dental school. thanks to rockstars.

the boys really enjoyed the commencement speakers, their favorite speaker discussed how the dental professionals are not "tradesmen" they are "above that" and they should join together to make sure they are "paid well". the atmosphere was ripe and thick with ego that lingered well after the 2 hr. commencement, its too bad that such speakers have to waist everyone's time when no one in attendance cares about their c.v. or what they have to say. beyond that it was a good time and great to see daren.

the day before easter- sadie and i were getting the eggs ready for coloring, when i noticed it was a bit too quiet in the house. i found luke in the garage playing but no sam; started looking everywhere and could not find him, went back in the garage and realized the garage dome light was on and figured they must have opened the garage door somehow. i started searching the neighborhood with no luck. i went back in the house and searched every room, no sam. i called my neighbor to search from his house north and i went west. at the end of our street one of the contractors remolding the home was holding sam. appparently he found him wandering in the middle of the street (sam's favorite place to walk) and took him in the house and called the cops, so i had to wait for the officer to arrive. the officer asked me what was going on, so as to not waist his time i told him "twin boys" he nodded and that was that.

quiet morning (April 16) problem #1: luke has figured out how to push chairs to access the candy drawer

solution: tie all charis to the kitchen table using a bowline.

Another quiet morning (May 1) - another quiet morning when jusi found:

solution: ??? clean up clean up everybody do their share.

benelli shotgun and field trip (march 21) - i spent a few days teaching at byu in march and thought the best way to spend the money was to buy a shotgun; it did not take much to convince jusi once she understood my funding source. that weekend some of us (dad, lane, jason and his kids erin & wilson, sadie and i) got together for a field trip to the west side of utah lake. anyway sadie was so excited it was difficult to get her to bed friday night and we meet in riverton at 04:00. she was a bit suprised when we woke up and the moon was still out.

sadie did not want to shoot the guns but she enjoyed launching the clay pigeons and playing with her cousins (erin and wilson). more about the field trip

not sure i understand this night (feb 19) - jusi bought halloween and wanted the kids to try them on. yes she is planning that far in advance. anyway here are the kids trying on their costumes.

luke was pretty upset when we had to take his cowboy costume off.

climbing wall (sometime in jan) - decided to build a wall for the boys in the basement as a means for decreasing the boys evening energy level so they will sleep longer. not sure if this ever made a difference but they love it.
